SUMMER is officially here, let the fun begin!!!
The Toddler team would like to wish you all a Happy Canada Day. The daycare will be closed on Tuesday July 1st.
We welcome Emily B, Emilie C, and Gabriel who will be moving up from the infant room officially on Wednesday July 2nd. We would also like to welcome Cadence who will also be starting in the toddler room on Wednesday July 2nd.
Happy Birthday goes out to Mae who will be turning 2 on July 17th!!!
Over the month of July and August we have scheduled a few days of water play day to help keep the children cool. We ask that you bring in a labelled swimsuit, swimmer diaper, towel and water shoes to be left at your child’s cubby. Please check your calendar to see the dates we have chosen for water play. We ask that you keep these items at your child’s cubby at all times since we may spontaneously decide, on those extra hot days to cool off with some water activities!
During the summer months, the toddler children go on walks around the neighbourhood, these walks will take place in the morning instead of playground play. Please have your child here by 9:45 on the following days: July 4th & July 25th. After our walk we have a picnic lunch in our playground. Weather permitting.
The toddler class will be making pasta salad on Wednesday July 16 for their monthly cooking activity.
The five oldest toddlers will be joining the preschoolers on July 3rd for a field trip to the High Park Zoo. They will also be going to the splash pad on July 24thth. We do need parent volunteers for the children who are going on the field trips so please let us know if you are interested in volunteering. On July 31st we have a Bubbleologist coming to the Daycare for all the children. This activity will take place at 9:45 so please have your child here by this time so they are able to participate.
LOST AND FOUND: A toddler child is missing a pair of black Walmart splash pants, if you took this home by mistake; please return it to a toddler teacher. We have also found a pink cozy sleep blanket with butterflies on it, if you have lost your child’s blanket please see a toddler teacher. – PLEASE REMEMBER TO LABEL YOUR BELONGINGS.
Don’t forget to take a look at our parent white board on top of your children’s cubbies, this white board will update you on daily important informationJ
