Preschool July Newsletter 2016
Dear Parents,
Summer is here and wow have we got an exciting couple of months ahead of us, with many activities planned for your child.
First we would like to thank all of you who attended our graduation and made it a huge success. All the children did such an amazing job. Please welcome Blake to the preschool room. He has graduated from the senior toddler room.
Kicking off the summer we have booked Dan the Music Man for a Summer Super Show and Dance party performance on Wednesday July 6th at 9:30a.m.
Every other Friday throughout the summer we have planned water play days. We ask that you have the following items at your child’s cubby in a labelled bag,*bathing suit* *towel * and *water play shoes*. Depending on the weather, we may decide to have water play on those really hot days we have throughout the summer. So it might be a nice idea to have these items at your child’s cubby at all times. This will ensure that your child will be prepared to participate. Our first planned water day will be on Friday July 8th.
Looking ahead to the end of the month we have planned a trip to Jack Darling Park (splash pad) on Thursday July 28th. The children will need to have a bathing suit, towel and water shoes in a labelled bag for the morning. The school bus departure time will be at 9:30a.m. and will arrive back at the daycare by 12:15p.m. after having a picnic lunch at the park. We will need a few parents who have had their police check done and handed in to help on the trip. Thank you in advance.
This is the time of year when we start to say good-bye to our friends who will be leaving the daycare to start school in the fall. This month we say good-bye to Rachael M and Zoe. We will miss you and wish you all the best.
Please refer to your calendar for all other activities scheduled for the month so that your child will not miss out on any special days.
