Preschool July Newsletter

JULY NEWSLETTER

Dear Parents,

Summer is here, and WOW we have we got an exciting couple of months ahead of us, with many activities and trips planned for your child. First, we would like to thank all of you who attended our graduation and making it a huge success, all the children did such an amazing job. Please welcome Ella, Elliott, and Zoe to the preschool room.

On Thursday July 3rd is our trip to High Park. The school bus will be leaving the day care promptly at 9:30 a.m. and will be returning by 12:30 p.m. Please make sure you have your child at the day care no later than 9:00 a.m.

Starting this Friday July 4th and every other Friday throughout the summer will be our Water Play days. We ask that you have the following items at your child’s cubby in a labelled bag a *bathing suit* *towel* and *water play shoes* Depending on the weather we may decide to have water play on those real hot days we may get throughout the summer, so it might be a nice idea to have these items at your child’s cubby at all times, this will ensure that your child will be prepared to participate.

On Wednesday the children will be having a “Camp Out” at the day care in the playground. Singing some camp fire songs, fishing and having their lunch outside are just a few couple of activities that have been planned for the children.

Looking ahead to the end of the month will be our trip to Jack Darling Park (splash pad) on Thursday, July 24th. The children will need to have a bathing suit, towel and water shoes in a labelled bag for the morning. The school buses departure time will also be at 9:30 and will arrive back at the day care by 12:30 p.m. after having our picnic lunch at the park. If you are able to help volunteer for the morning, please let one of the teachers know. A sign-up poster will be put up as well by the parent board in the classroom. Thank you in advance for making our trip fun for everyone.

Birthday wishes go out to Emma who is turning 3 the party will be on Friday July 25th.

Lastly we say good bye to Aidan and wish him and his family all the best.
